Pens

There is one other thing I love as much as a new book or a new notebook and that is a new pen.  I have so many pens and most were acquired to find the perfect pen.  Even though I do sometimes type my thoughts on my MacBook or iPad, my preferred method is with a pencil.  However, I do not like to pause the flow of thought to sharpen the pencil or if using a mechanical pencil clicking out a little bit more lead.  That is if I did not manage to break the lead of the mechanical pencil because I tend to press down too firmly.  To avoid that trouble, I just reach for the nearest pen.  There are different aspects I consider when deeming a pen as adequate to meet my writing needs.  The most important aspect being the ink flow, does the ink flow smoothly or sluggishly?  The second aspect is the weight of the pen.  If it is a metal pen, it most likely will be too heavy.  Sadly, some of the best flowing ink is found in metal pens.  The final aspect I consider is the grip or the padding of where one grips a pen.  I have a heavy hand and writer for long periods, so I need a pen that has smooth flowing ink, is light (usually plastic), and has comfortable grip padding. And this little blip was to let you know that I obtained a new pen that I love!
